San Jose Wedding Review - Wedding eBook |

Found a newer eBook online called Fire Your Wedding Planner!. It looked interesting, so I thought I'd buy it and see what she had to say. First off, I was hesitant to do so, since I suggest to people that, if they can afford it, always hire a wedding planner. A good wedding planner will save you money, time and effort, giving you access to vendors for your wedding reception that you may not have known about and give you great wedding tips to keep costs down. So, I started reading with a kind of cynical view. First off, she doesn't really want you to fire your wedding planner. If you were really hard up for cash, you could, but it's not what she suggests. Not really. But here's the bottom line: It's a good wedding tip book.
The author, Stephi writes in a friendly easy going manner and has some very good cost saving wedding tips that would be good at any San Jose wedding. I had just finished my wedding (so too late to help me) but I found that I had actually used several of her wedding tips for my event. The overall consensus at Bay Area Wedding Review says this is definitely worth it.
A couple of caveats, I don't agree with everything she says. As you go through the ebook you'll find wedding tips that you'll say to yourself, this won't work and others that you'll notice are the most amazing ideas that absolutely will work. And they'll be different for you than the next person. Doesn't make the one wedding tip better than the other, just better for your personality. Also, there are times, when you there may be better ways to save money, like making your wedding reception smaller rather than skimping on one item or another. But at least now you have the tools to know where you want to save and where it's important to you to be no holds barred.
One of her biggest suggestions is to become a better negotiator. To go in knowing what you want. Sometimes hard to know, since this is probably your first wedding. But if you take some time and do a little research, by reading her book and checking out wedding tip and wedding review sites like this one, you'll be able to save tons of money. I totally agree with that. Your wedding reception will be more like you want it and you'll save money, if only because wedding professionals love dealing with someone whe knows what they want. (It's one of the reasons my San Jose Wedding DJ website has so many up front planning tools on it.)
One of the other easy suggestions is to network with your friends and vendors. I know that I have standing deals with some of the people I've worked with to give out discounts when we all work together. Cheaper for you and much easier for us, because we know what to expect when we work together.
Anyway here's a link to her book, Fire Your Wedding Planner! Check it out. You will save money.
