Request replies with an R.S.V.P., Kindly respond, or Please respond in the lower left corner and below the the address to mail them. Traditionally reserved for business functions only, printed response cards for the wedding reception do make things easier for guests. It is up to you to decide if you'll send them for your wedding. These small cards are engraved in the same style as the wedding invitations. Stamped, self-addressed envelopes are included. One of the newer things some people are doing is to have personalized stamps from the post office (with your favorite engagement picture) used as the return postage. Very cute!

San Jose Athletic Club Spell out everything on formal wedding invitations, including the wedding date, time, all numerals, and names. No abbreviations, initials or nicknames are used - except Mr., Mrs., Ms., and Jr. Traditionally, only the bride's first and middle names are printed. But if you're a doctor or military officer, you can add your title and full name below the phrase, their daughter. You may or may not want to add Mr. before your fiance's name.
Have your formal invitations printed in black script on the top page of a double sheet of paper in pale ivory or white. It can be paneled (with a raised border surrounding the print) or plain. The most popular size (4 1/2" x 5 3/4") fits into an envelope without folding. A larger size (5 1/2" x 7 1/2") is folded once before mailing. It is for very formal weddings.
Remember if you DIY that most of these sizes are available to print on inkjet printers. It will take some time and you will mess a few up, but on the plus side, you can print them as you need them. So when your mom comes up with another "almost an aunt" you don't remember (that has to be invited to your wedding reception), you can just print another wedding invitation on your inkjet.
